Experience

Scott Johnson is a Tennessee trial lawyer who enjoys singing and recording music, golf, fishing, shooting, attending sports competitions, plays, books, movies, multiple activities with his family, and cleaning up messes. He experiences all of these less often than desired, save the cleanup which affords him his profession. Scott has litigated cases from Memphis to Johnson City, Tennessee since 1999. Scott has tried approximately 75 civil trials and has argued in the courts of appeal several times. He is admitted in all Tennessee Courts, the United States District Courts for Tennessee (Eastern and Middle Districts), and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. While appreciating his role as an advocate, Scott is often called upon to serve as a mediator. As of early 2025, Scott is renewing his Rule 31 certification as a civil mediator in addition to obtaining Rule 31 family law mediator certification.
